People always complain about Mondays.
The end of the weekend, the beginning of a new week.
Back to work.
Back to school.
Back to routine after a relaxing and/or busy weekend.
But do you want to know a secret of mine? I love Mondays.
Mondays are probably just about my favorite day of the week.
It is Neil's day off. Our day to spend together with hardly any exception.
Sometimes we get to go out to lunch together, alone, after we drop our little Birdie off at preschool. Other times we sneak off to an afternoon movie. Today we got to hand wash some dishes together, while singing the wrong lyrics as loud as we could to an empty house. Okay, perhaps only one of us sang the wrong lyrics, but in my defense sometimes I think my made up lyrics are better than the original. Don't judge.
Anyway. Every day is a gift. And a day off together? Why, it's a celebration.
