December Birthdays

So December is a busy month for us.  Evan hit the big "14" this year.  Had some friends over to play some video games.  We have banned video games in our house ;) so he had his friends bring the gaming stuff, too.

And Ava, well, at "6" she went through the rite of passage that all my children have.

Chuck E Cheese.  Oh yes indeed.

To be fair, all the kids in our house love that place.  Neil and I, notsomuch.  We lucked out on this particular afternoon, because it was not busy at all.  And we realized how much easier it is now that the kids are older... not so stressful... sort of...fun.

Bitter Betty went through all the pictures on my cell phone and counted how many I had of Ava vs. her.  (Ava won by a landslide, but in my defense I am with her during the day still when everyone else is in school!)

Ava has gained my mad skills for skee ball.  She spent the majority of her tokens here! 

All in all, it was a surprisingly good afternoon

We are enjoying loving on our kids, and thankful for the opportunity to be in their lives. :)
