Today I went garage saling again. Every time I type the word garage saling, saling looks funny to me. But it is right. Right? Anyway! I picked up three rugs for various rooms in the house, my total came to $17. Not bad, eh. It can be so addictive, but I am finding what we need (NO TOYS!!) and saving money so it has been great.
Neil leaves for camp tomorrow afternoon, he will be gone until Friday. I am dreading this week. I really hate it when he is gone, I am not meant to be a single parent! I typically just "hang on" until he gets home in the evening, then I can breathe again! I wish I could go to camp.
Ava, well, so far she is not too hip on the idea of going to the local swimming pool. She likes to walk/run around the pool and try to climb each of the lifeguard towers. This gets real old, real quick! So I have been trying to avoid it, yet the kids plead with me each day, "Can we go to the pool???!!!". They are like little fish!
I have been working hard around the house, and have tried to get the kids on board with me. For some crazy reason, working around the house, the yard, and painting the fence isn't their idea of a fun summer activity. (sigh) I just am in this mode of wanting to be prepared to sell the house whenever it is "the right time".
PS: Neil's interview went well the other night. Sounds like they want to talk to him again. And we don't have a date yet for the___________ visit, will let you know!

Churches and food (totally unrelated but bear with me)
Neil has another interview with _____________ tomorrow evening. Be praying, please. We don't feel the same excitement about ___________ as we do about __________--but-- we want to be open to the Lord's leading. :-)
Praise God :-)!!! We also just got word that __________ wants us to come back as a family, if possible, for a weeekend! Neil will be teaching, and meeting with the youth leaders. We are ecstatic!!! We are checking our calendars, and hopefully will be able to come in the next few weekends. whoooohooo
My kids- they are eating us out of house and home!! I went grocery shopping on Monday and bought plenty of snacks, yet now they have almost all vanished! At one point today we had nine kids in our home . . . of course everyone is hungry . . . any ideas on how to control the food intake?? I was thinking of a snack schedule? Has this worked for any of you??

Update
We are still waiting. ________ told Neil they would let him know this week. Neil didn't get a clear sign from them one way or the other, but we are praying that God will lead us there if he wants us there, and provide something else if He doesn't. :-) They had started calling his references though so that's good, right?! Neil was able to go to one of their services on Sunday, and said it was great. Said I would love it. ;-)
Thank you for continuing to pray. A lot of nervous anticipation at our house!
I had edited the other post with an update, then realized it doesn't change the date so you all might be confused.

My weekend
My Bedroom Makeover
That lamp was just $3
"Hi, my name is Faith and I am addicted to deals."
While Neil was gone this weekend, I decided to give him a Father's Day gift that he would love. (Dramatic pause) . . . a clean and decorated bedroom! We have done a little something here and there, but for the last two years or more our bedroom has had bare walls and clutter. My friend Hillary helped me brainstorm, and then my friend Meg got in on the action.
**Sidenote**Everyone my age needs a friend like Meg in their life! She is a young 'un, only 21, and she is footloose and fancy free. She has been able to hang around and help me with a lot of stuff that I am very indecisive about. She is confident in home decor, which sure comes in handy for me since I never know what I am doing around the house. She basically bossed me around, telling me to move this here, and put that there. She even had Becca and I color arranging our clothes in the closet!
Meg was able to come and help me all weekend, from rearranging our room to finding new ways to use old pieces. We went garage saling with Hillary on Saturday, and found all kinds of awesome things to decorate with. Driving around with all four of my kids was a bit crazy, but worth it! Basically I bought A LOT of things on Saturday, and my total cost was $25!! I added a few things from WalMart and tada, we have a very cool room at a great price. Hillary commented when she saw it that it went from a plain room to something that looks like "us".

Problems
Please pray for me. My computer crashed thanks to some virus. I am going through withdraw without it, I have to wait each night for Neil to bring his work laptop home for me to use. I have a lot of info that wasn't saved on a disk (yes, I know, terrible) . . . family pictures, business info, plus I am the newsletter editor for my MOMS Club newsletter and all my info is on there, etc. Please pray that Neil can work a miracle and fix it!
Not to mention this whole Kelsey Smith thing, it really hit me hard. www.findkelsey.com , that site had me in tears. Please pray with me for peace for her family. It seems that she attended one of the churches that Neil is interviewing at in KC.
Thanks for your prayers.
UPDATE: Praise God, my computer is up and running again! Neil was able to fix it and recover all my files, pictures, everything! Yahhh!!
